National Resiliency Month:
Kahandaan sa Sakuna’t Peligro Para sa tunay na pagbabago
We all know that Philippines is located in the Pacific Ring of Fire. This is the reason why we are experiencing many disasters in our country. The question is, are we ready for these disasters?
For me, we need to be prepared for any disaster. Because preparation is the first thing we should do. Sometimes, we just ignore the calamities that are coming. Instead of getting ready, others have time to play or doing anything that are not related in preparing for these disasters and others do not seem to care. Others are getting ready when it’s too late. But they don’t know that it is more dangerous.
We must be ready for these disasters. For us students, we can do simple things that can help our family to survive or to be ready for a disaster.  We can simply help our parents to packed a survival kit. This include instant foods, water, extra clothes, money, flashlights, battery, battery operated radios, important documents and others. We can also help to packed an emergency kit which will be included in the survival kit in case of injuries.
But Filipinos are survivors. They are able to rise despite of the disasters they’ve experienced. Because there is so called ” Bayanihan System”. Whatever happens, the Filipinos help each other. Whatever happens, the Filipino will survive.
