 Buwan ng Wika 2019

          Every  year  we  celebrate  "Buwan  ng  Wika"  every  month  of  August.  The  theme  of  this year  is  "Wikang  Katutubo:  Tungo  sa  isang  Bansang  Filipino."  We  may  have  different  dialects but  we  are  all  the  same , we  are  all  Filipinos.

         The celebration aims to unite all the Filipinos and not to forget about the indigenous languages. Admit it many of the Filipinos are already infatuated in foreign languages specially Korean language. "We do this celebration to recognize and prove that this 130 indigenous languages are part of our nationality" according to Virgilio Almario. The celebration of "Buwan ng Wika" will also highlight cultural activities all  over the country that are slowly forgotten.
          The eight rays on the logo symbolizes the eight major dialects in the Philippines. This includes: Filipino, Ilocano, Bikol, Cebuano, Hiligaynon, Kapampangan, Pangasinan at Waray.  The symbol inside the circle is the Logo of the KWF( Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino). And the different colors symbolizes unity of all Filipinos despite of different dialects they have.
